THE Open stableford competition sponsored by Spectrum Business Solutions at Faughan Valley was won after a break of tie by Willie O’Brien (21) James Lindsay (3) also scored 38 points to finish second and Neal Black (15) with 38 points was third. The Front nine went to Ryan Cooke and Alan Cheung won the back nine, while the Gross winner was Barney O’Connor.

Connor wins Open in Style at Redcastle

DESPITE bad conditions at Redcastle, Connor McQuaid (14) posted a fine 42 points to win the Austin’s Open. Bryan Northey (6) was placed second after a break of tie finish scoring 39 points, with Danny McCartney (13) also with 39 points in third spot. Willie Havlin (5) claimed the gross prize with 32 gross points. Keith Priestley scored 21 points to win the front nine with Vincent Glenn (14) winning the back nine with a fine 20 points. The visitors prize went to Martin Harkin (14) with 31 points.
